Short: Tracker deluxe, plays from fastmemory
Author: marcone@xs4all.nl (Marco Nelissen)
Uploader: marcone@xs4all.nl (Marco Nelissen)
Type: mus/edit
Replaces: mus/edit/pro2.lha
Distribution: Aminet
Version 2.2 of Soundtracker pro II.
New in this release:
- On Kickstart 1.2 and 1.3 systems, pro2 would crash on exit if the
PRO2: assign was not present. Fixed.
- Right-click on pitchcontroller will increase/decrease pitch with 1
- added a 'nudge' function to ease synchronisation with other sound
sources. Click << or >> with the right mousebutton.
- Improved MED compatibility (BPM timing and sampleoffset)
- multi-loop commands slightly changed: by specifying a loop command
without a note, the new loop will be played when the current loop is
finished.
- fixed bug in the record options menu, causing quantize and offset
selection to trash the screen
- fixed F6-F10 positioning keys
- fix bug in sampleloader for non-8SVX iff samples
For those of you unfamiliar with pro2, here's a short (and incomplete)
overview of it's features:
- Loads several different module formats
- Loads several different sample formats
- 127 samples. The samplelength is only limited by the available memory.
Samples may have sequences.
- pro2 can play samples located in fastmemory, and do real-time upsampling
of the sampledata -even on a 68000- to achieve a 5 octave total range.
- link option
- sample-editfunctions include: equalize, DC adjust, mixing, chord generation
- 128 patterns, with a length of 1-9999 lines.
- pro2 can record keyreleases, notedelays and velocity. (An appropriate midi
keyboard is required for recording velocity)
- optional programming language for pattern-sequence
- autorepeat effect commands
- search and replace function with wildcards for notes
- very good polyphonic recording
- easy to use
